'Jesus is the Drink for Every Thirst'

Believing truth, renewing our minds, can result in transformation!

Refocusing therapy is based on the idea that Jesus is the drink for every thirst...

John 4:14
"but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

John 7:37-38
Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Maybe just coming to Jesus and drinking is believing! 

Revelation 21:6
"He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life."

The God of the Universe says come to me and drink and it doesn't cost you - He already paid!

Revelation 22:17
"The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life."

Eternal life is a free gift! 

Is it possible that we could be so satisfied with what Jesus gives us that we don't need to go searching anywhere else ever again?

He says it over and over - come and drink of Me! 

Jesus can meet our needs better than anything else that we may go to. 

Sin can be described as looking outside of Jesus (God) for our resource. 

We need water for all of our organs to work, for strength and wellness! 

When we drink of Jesus, He starts to change what's happening on our inside. He does the work for us, we just need to drink of Him. 

Psalm 87:7
As they make music they will sing,
    “All my fountains are in you.”

Equilibrium starts to come to our spirits as we drink of the Living Water, just as it does to our bodies when we drink regular water. Take a sip!

John 1:1-5
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

The Spirit of life, lives in you! 

The Greek word for 'with' in that verse is prose which doesn't just mean 'in close proximity to' but actually means 'towards; being advantageous for; and face to face; interaction and reciprocity; initiation and response'. Jesus is face to face with Father God, for One Another. 

God is in relationship and when He says He is life for all of humankind, He is welcoming us into that beautiful connection! You are not alone; you're welcomed into relationship.

Whenever we feel lack, deficit, pain, we can refocus on Jesus who is alive in us, the Living Water that can satisfy our needs.
